Maurice Prost
Paris 1894/1967. (EC. Br) Important Animals Sculptor. Charles Valton, will reveal his vocation Artist Animalier. First experiences in the Parisian Workshop dell'Orafo Gauthier. In 1920, he moved into his first Workshop in rue E.Cresson in Paris. He has exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais and the Salon d'Automne from 1920 to 1930. In 1926 acquisition of a new Workshop in Paris, where he will practice only for its direct cutting Monumental Works. In 1927 he exhibited at the Susse Gallery in Paris. In 1930 he exhibited at the Parisian Gallery of Edgar Brandt. In 1931, he participates to the Colonial Exposition for his Black Panther a natural size. In 1933 an Honorable Mention. Silver Medal in 1936. Exposition International des Arts et Techniques in 1937, made two Pegasus of four meters for the Bridge de l'Alma. From 1948 to 1964 to execute numerous Sculptures Monumental for the City and the institutions. He died in Paris in 1967.
