Ferdinand Preiss
He was born in Erbach (Germany) 1882/1943. Important Sculptor. He studied engraving under Ivory Philipp Willmann until 1901. In 1905, working for Carl Haebler in Baden Baden. In 1906 he became partner with Arthur Kassler "PK" and the Cast of AKT GES Gladdenbeck Berlin, where he worked with Professor Otto Poertzel. Preiss, is considered one of the greatest carvers of ivory in the Art Deco scene. His sculptures are among the most expensive in the world.
