Naples 1881 / Paris 1943 - Important Sculptor. A pupil of Francesco Jerace, in 1909, he went to Paris where he came into contact with the great sculptors and artists of the period. Bronze Medal in 1923. From 1913 to 1936 he exhibited his stupendous Marbles at the "Salon des Artistes Francais". He also produced many Bronzes and Terracottas, some of which were sold through Alfred Dunhill in Paris and in his branches in London and New York. He has also made a large number of monumental sculptures. In 1932 he was an exponent of the "Neoclassical School" and founder of the group of Neoclassical Sculptors of Paris. Surely he was one of the greatest exponents in France for having developed a new figurative language. His work is highly collectible.
